A native New Yorker of universal appeal, Yasmeena has established herself as a highly sought after professional bellydance artist in the Middle-Eastern and Arabic communities of New York, New Jersey and is currently expanding her demand in other areas of the USA.

As a dedicated lover and passionate student of this dance form, Yasmeena has traveled internationally to attend workshops and seminars with the most notable teachers in the industry. Her commitment to bellydance has led her to Egypt to learn from multiple acclaimed master instructors and to perform with live orchestra. She is a devotee of international Master teacher and Oriental dance inspiration, Yousry Sharif, and has worked closely with other celebrated Master instructors such as Tito, Mohamed Shahin, Wael Mansour, Saida, Virginia, Jehan and Shoshana, to name a few.

Yasmeena holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Music and spent over a decade teaching instrumental music to children ranging from elementary school through high school. She worked with the gifted and talented youth and conducted orchestras and bands before she decided to leave music completely and pursue her lifelong dream of dance.

Her experience performing bellydance as a professional began in 2006. Yasmeena began as a solo dancer in upscale Middle-Eastern restaurants in her area and eventually was invited to become a member of the Temple of Jehan Theatrical Dance Company for multiple theatre productions. Since then, notable performance achievements and appearances include commercial filming for Arab-American Radio, performing as the highlighted artist in the 2018 Arab-American Heritage Celebration at Brooklyn Borough Hall in New York City, traveling to Antigua, Caribbean for New Year’s Eve 2017 celebration, performing at the 2016 Dallywood Film and Music Awards which aired on live international television, performing in the 2015 Miss Latin Universe Beauty Pageant, and commercial modeling for Bellydance America to name a few.

A highlight for Yasmeena’s career was when she was invited to perform with Egyptian Pop Mega-Star Mahmoud Elleithy and cutting-edge musician Abd El Salam in Nashville, USA for their only concert in America in 2019. This was truly a dream and showcased her diverse experience and abilities to work in various ways with the crowd of over 1000 people, the expert musicians and with elite industry professionals.

Yasmeena achieved tremendous success when she was featured in Arabic CNN modeling for Egyptian couture bellydance costume designer, Eman Zaki. The article featured a statuesque photograph of Yasmeena modeling Eman Zaki’s distinctive and unique style and it was released across the globe in the Arabic language.

Yasmeena has imprinted herself into the Arabic community and is known to consistently deliver high quality artistic and musical expression through her bellydance performances. She has been presenting weekly performances to ethnic audiences with expert musicians since 2012 in the top Arabic nightclubs in her area. Her passion is bringing her diverse experience, musical interpretation and artistic skills and nuances to Middle-Eastern and Arabic weddings.

Yasmeena’s trademark is her elegance and class, both on and off the stage. She brings her deep respect of the music and culture of the roots of this dance to each and every performance, which leaves an impression of timeless style and refinement on the audience.
